Stand or Standing

Not taking a card

Splitting

separating 2 of the same cards.Never split when you have 5’s or 10’s. Always split aces and 8’s.

Double Down

This is the process of enlarging your bet when the chances of winning are good. In this instance you must bet the Max allowed. In most casinos, you can only double down after you receive your initial two cards and before you draw a third card, but some casinos only allow the option on certain hand values (usually 9, 10 or 11).

Blackjack Rules

The dealer always has an edge because he’s always the last to play. The problem with this is that if you bust first you lose even if the dealer eventually ends up busting too.

The dealer follows the set rules all the time. For instance even if the dealer has a winning hand with 16 he/she will still need to hit regardless of whether he’ll bust or not.

Remember that your aim is to get a point higher than the dealer and NOT to get to 21. Remember this!

Blackjack Strategy

Hard rules

If a player has a hand between 17 and 20 he should stand because the probability of busting on a hit is high.

If a player has a hand between 12 and 16 when the dealer has a low value(between 2 and 6) he/she should stand. There is a high probability of the player winning.

If a player has a hand of between 12 to 16 and the dealer has a card between 7 to Ace he should hit. There is a low probability of the dealer busting.
